COERR Mae Hong Son Organized Tree Planting Activity on the World Soil Day

   World Soil Day is held annually on 5 December. The day was chosen, by UN., as to mark the birthday of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who spent his lifelong contribution on improving the quality of soil through sustainable soil management for agriculture.

   COERR Mae Hong Son organized the tree planting ceremony on December 4, in order to commemorate HM the late King and to draw people participation on reforestation and realization on soil conservation and productivity which is important for living things on earth.

   The tree planting ceremony was organized by COERR and refugee communities of Ban Mai Nai Soi Temporary Shelter in Mueng District, Mae Hong Son Province with 100 participants of 48 females and 52 males growing plants along warter source and the Shelter’s entrance; and at Ban Mae Surin Temporary Shelter in Mae Hong Son Province’s Khum Yuam District with 200 participants, both females and males, growing plants along various areas in Ban Mae Surin Temporary Shelter.
